Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 29 June 2026

Our commitment

Varro (varro-tax.co.uk) is a UK Self Assessment and Making Tax Digital for Income Tax filing service, operated by Varro Software Limited (company number 17262760). We want as many people as possible to be able to use it, regardless of disability or assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. This statement explains how well we currently meet that standard, how we test, and what to do if you find a problem.

Compliance status

This website aims to be compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. Both the public website (home, guides, pricing, FAQ and related pages) and the signed-in product (dashboard, records, filing, and the practice console) have been tested for colour-contrast conformance and meet the AA contrast requirement of at least 4.5:1 for normal text. We are not currently aware of any content that fails Level AA. Some success criteria that can only be confirmed by manual testing — full keyboard navigation, screen-reader behaviour and reflow at high zoom — are part of an ongoing manual audit. We will update this statement as that audit completes. We therefore describe the site as substantially conformant rather than claiming full conformance before that work is finished.

How we tested

We test in two ways: • Automated testing. We run the axe-core accessibility engine across the public pages and the authenticated dashboard and practice console. Our most recent automated scan reported zero colour-contrast violations and no critical or serious structural issues (form fields are labelled, headings and landmarks are in place, images have text alternatives, and interactive controls expose a name, role and value). • Manual review. We review forms, headings, focus order and the colour palette by hand. In our most recent pass we remediated every muted text colour that fell below the AA contrast ratio, across both the marketing site and the signed-in app. This statement is based on testing carried out in June 2026 and is reviewed when the site changes materially.

Known limitations and third-party content

We are aware of, or are still verifying, the following: • Manual keyboard and screen-reader audit. A full end-to-end keyboard and screen-reader pass of every signed-in workflow is in progress; any issues it surfaces will be fixed and noted here. • Payment checkout. Subscription checkout is provided by Stripe within our pages; its accessibility is governed by Stripe's own standards. • Generated documents. PDF exports (such as the tax summary) are generated for download; we are reviewing their tagging for assistive technology. If you rely on assistive technology and hit a barrier in any of these areas, please tell us — see below — and we will help and prioritise a fix.

Reporting an accessibility problem

We welcome feedback. If you find something that is not accessible, or you need information in a different format, email support@varro-tax.co.uk with the page address and a short description of the problem. We aim to respond within five working days.
